Day 6 - Cambodia

Very early wake up to get the chance to see the sun rise over Angkor Watt. So much more to do in Cambodia but the temples were the days highlight.
The world-famous temples of Angkor, are a stupendous array of ancient religious monuments virtually unrivalled anywhere in Asia The majestic temple of Angkor Wat, with its five iconic corncob towers rising high above the surrounding jungle, is the chief attraction, rivalled by the magical Bayon, embellished with superhuman images of the enigmatically half-smiling Avalokitesavara, and the jungle-smothered temple remains of Ta Prohm, with crumbling ruins squeezed between the roots of enormous trees and creepers.
Literally hundreds of major temple complexes dot the countryside hereabouts, spread over an area of some four hundred square kilometres.  This is one of the world’s great sights, and well worth visiting.

Day 5 - Thailand

The temples are so pretty. The guide knew so much about this place.

Many hands not only make light work but also help make this new playground

Its a tough end of the day here in Thailand

The BEST way to travel, quick easy and so much fun.

Time to start our Trek.

Day 4 - Malaysia

A quick boat ride to start the day and we are now in Malaysia. Spent the early part of the day acclimatising in the lush green hills and white waterfalls of the Cameron Highlands. This trekking area is named after a British government surveyor, William Cameron, who set off on a mapping expedition to the Titiwangsa Range and came upon the Highlands. Interesting stuff.

Busy afternoon helping out with some different community engagement projects. Started by interacting with disabled children and young adults, then went to work with park rangers at an elephant sanctuary and finished the day off by assisting a local dive centre with their ongoing turtle conservation efforts. Exhausted, but luckily its an easy transit to the next destination; Thailand.

Day 3 - Borneo

A quick morning flight and onto Borneo
Today was jam packed with excitement, woke up early to summit Mt Kinabalu, Low’s Peak, got to ascend up to 4,095m; awe-struck by the stunning panoramic views from the ‘Roof of Borneo’.

NEW BEST FRIENDS!!
What better way to relax in the evening than getting up close and personal with the Orang-utans at Sepilok Orang-utan Sanctuary.

Day 2 - Java

Flew to Java this morning ready to help out with some amazing animals.
Lots of fun working with the conservation organisation Yogyakarta Wildlife Rescue Centre and with a local community near Taman Nasional Bali Barat.

The afternoon consisted of an awesome trek called Kawah Ijen. It started with exploring the coffee plantations and undulating trails created by the volcanic landscape. We then moved out of the farm
land, the terrain become steeper as we begin the ascent to the top of the crater leading up to the sulphur lake of Kawah Ijen. The highest point of the crater is 2368m and offered amazing views of the surrounding scenery. The lake at the top is full of water that is infused with the sulphur that comes out of the volcano. Because of all the sulphur the lake has a strange colour and the area had this strong smell of eggs. Needless to say I didn't jump in for a smelly swim.

Day 1 - Fiji

Spent the morning in the city of Nadi before heading out to explore the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park. It is one of the highlights of the island of Viti Levu.

In the afternoon grabbed the swimsuit and headed to the golden sandy beaches and dazzling turquoise waters of the Mamanuca Islands, saw a sea turtle and enjoyed some relaxing time.
